Play padel. Meet people. Feel welcome.
An inclusive padel community in Utrecht
Looking for people to play padel with — and a place where you can be yourself?
We’re building a welcoming community for LGBTQIA+ people, queer people and allies in Utrecht. Whether you’ve never held a racket or already play regularly, you’re welcome to join.
Come for the sport, the company, or a bit of both. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand, bring a playing partner, or prove how good you are.

More than a game
Padel is our starting point. Meeting people and building connections are just as important.
We’re starting small and growing together: through community events, informal matches and conversations on and off the court. Our ambition is to build an ongoing programme, with room for different abilities, backgrounds and ways of joining in.
Utrecht is our home base. We’re connecting with different venues, sports communities and organisations — this isn’t a community tied exclusively to one location.

PLAY
Get moving, enjoy the game and play with others.
MEET
Meet new people before, during and after playing.
CONNECT
Find playing partners and connections that last beyond one match.
BELONG
Not just being welcome, but feeling that you belong.

Our first community evening at PadelCasa Utrecht
An evening of padel, meeting people and enjoying time together — with space for beginners, experienced players and people who mainly want to come along for the social side.
The evening at a glance
17:30–18:00 — Welcome and a welcome drink
Arrive, settle in and meet the community.
From 18:00 — A playful start
Opening activities to help us get to know each other and get the evening going. We’re still putting the finishing touches to this part of the programme.
19:00–21:00 — Padel together
Two hours centred on playing, mixing and having fun.
21:00–22:00 — Time to connect
Wind down together with music, a bite to eat and time to chat.
You’re welcome to come along just for the social side, even if you’re not playing padel, and to participate in activities around or outside of padel. A separate participation fee applies for those joining only to socialize.
Registration isn’t open yet. Leave your details and we’ll let you know when booking opens, with the final programme, prices and practical information.
Expressing your interest does not reserve a place at the event.
Find your next game in our WhatsApp community

Our first community match: Peter, Patrick, Rens and Bjorna.
Our community is already getting onto the court. The first match arranged through the WhatsApp group has been played — and there’s room for more.
Looking for a fourth player? Fancy a casual game? Want to meet a few people before coming to an event? Introduce yourself, suggest a time and see who’s up for it.
You’re welcome to join, even if you’re not ready to organise a match yourself.
Joining the group is optional. As in other WhatsApp groups, your phone number will be visible to fellow members.
A few things you might be wondering
Do I need padel experience?
No. Beginners and experienced players are welcome. When registration opens, we’ll explain how the evening will work for different levels.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Helping people meet is one of the reasons this community exists.
Do I have to play padel?
No. We also want people to feel welcome who mainly come for the opening activities, conversation and shared closing part of the evening.
Is this only for LGBTQIA+ people?
The community centres LGBTQIA+ and queer visibility and belonging in sport. Allies who share that welcoming, respectful approach are very welcome too.
I don’t speak Dutch. Can I join?
Yes — you’re welcome. Much of our communication is currently in Dutch, and we’re working on making the key information available in English too. Feel free to contact us in English.
What equipment will I need?
For activities on court, bring suitable sports shoes. We’ll share the confirmed equipment and racket-hire arrangements when event registration opens.
Help shape the community
This community is still taking shape. That means you can help build it from the beginning.
Would you like to volunteer, contribute an activity, introduce us to someone, or explore a partnership? Or do you have an idea for something you’d love to join?
We’d like to hear from you.
